Forum Cookies potency: THC, CBD and terpenes from 81 lab tests

In only 81 state lab tests, a small sample, Forum Cookies flower had a median total THC of 18.75%, with the middle half of results between 15.71% and 21.20%.1 CBD is negligible, and β-caryophyllene led the terpenes in the 10 tests that reported them, all from Nevada.1 Flower labeled simply GSC or Girl Scout Cookies, which can be any cut, tested about the same: 19.72% median across 567 tests.1

How published THC figures compare

Strain databases publish a single figure or a range: for the Forum cut, Leafly lists 21%, AllBud 20–28% and Weedmaps 14%; for GSC, Leafly lists 25%, AllBud 28% and Weedmaps 18–28%.2,3,4,5,6,7 Other figures run higher: Prime Cuts Nursery’s strain guide gives the Forum cut 21–28%, and seed versions of GSC are listed at 25–28% (Barney’s Farm), 30% (ILGM’s Girl Scout Cookies Extreme), 16–21% (Nirvana) and 20–22% (Crop King’s autoflower).8,9,10,11,12

In state lab results, 90% of Forum Cookies flower tested below 23.63%, and the highest result was 28.42%, so only ILGM’s 30% sits above every test in our sample.1

Forum Cookies versus flower sold as GSC

The two counts measure different things: ours takes only labels that name the Forum cut ("Forum Cookies", "Forum Cut", "GSC Forum", "Forum Cut Cookies", "Girl Scout Cookies Forum", "Forum GSC", "Forum Girl Scout Cookies", "Girl Scout Cookies Forum Cut" and "GSC Forum Cut"), while the GSC count takes "Girl Scout Cookies", "Girl Scout Cookie" and "GSC", which can be any cut.1 By median they test about the same: 18.75% for Forum Cookies (only 81 tests) against 19.72% for GSC (567), with middle halves of 15.71%–21.20% and 17.80%–21.92%; 7.2% of GSC tests reached 25%, against 4.9% of ours.1 Both terpene profiles lead with β-caryophyllene, from 10 Forum Cookies tests and 158 GSC tests.1

Limits of this data

  • The sample is small and scattered: Washington (36), Michigan (18), Hawaii (10), Nevada (10), Maryland (5) and Massachusetts (2) supply all 81 tests, 40 of them from 2018–2019, and the latest is from 2024. Oregon and Rhode Island results carry no product names and could not be matched.
  • Some labs report higher THC than others, so we publish medians and middle ranges rather than maxima. No single lab accounts for more than 16.9% of the tests with a recorded lab (16 labs in total); 10 tests carry no lab name, because Hawaii’s data has no lab field.
  • Terpene medians come from only 10 tests with individual terpene values (all from Nevada; 2 labs). Maryland reports only total terpenes, and Michigan, Washington and Hawaii report none.
  • We matched names strictly: 371 results under near-miss names, 361 of them one cross ("95 FORUM COOKIES × ALIENDOG CHERRY"), are excluded and counted, and 54 Washington flower results whose product name did not confirm the strain were left out.
