Leafly’s genealogy says Sherbet was an accident: around 2012 a male Pink Panties plant pollinated an entire flowering room of Girl Scout Cookies females, and the seeds produced Sunset Sherbert, which was crossed back to GSC in 2014 to make Gelato.7 It was Montana’s top seller in Leafly’s 2025 list and in The Marijuana Herald’s August 2026 roundup.8,9
